Sponsorship is a job confirmation that is achieved by clearing certain set of exams conducted by various shipping companies.
DNS Sponsorship Programme
GME (Graduate in Marine Engineering) sponsorship programs help mechanical engineering or naval architecture graduates gain entry into the merchant navy by covering the costs of the GME course and securing employment.
- 12th class (PCM 60%); or
- Graduation Sc (PCM)/ B.Sc (Electronics with Physics as individual subject in one of the years) Marks not less than 60%; or
- E./B.Tech from IIT or college recognised by AICTE; Marks not less than 50%
Note: English marks are to be 50% or more in anyone of the above examinations.
